2023 Mahindra Thar RWD Delivery Details
Mahindra Thar RWD was launched recently at a staggering starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh only. Additionally, it gets two variants named - AX & LX. Both of these variants are offered only with a hardtop option. Meanwhile, the Thar RWD gets a 1.5-lt turbo-diesel engine that is paired with only a rear differential. However, it does not suffer much power loss when compared with its 2.2-lt m-Hawk variant. This new diesel engine generates a peak power output of 117 PS & 300 Nm of peak torque. Mahindra has paired this engine with an option of 6-speed manual transmission. This 1.5-lt powertrain is sourced from Mahindra XUV300 C-SUV.
Mahindra has also offered a petrol RWD variant. This variant uses the same 2.0-lt m-Stallion engine. While this engine is a gas guzzler, it makes a staggering power output of 130 bhp & 300 Nm of torque. However, Mahindra is offering the petrol RWD with only a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Hence, no manual transmission option if you opt for the petrol RWD. Moreover, if someone wants a diesel automatic they will have to book the 2.2-lt m-Hawk. The 1.5-lt diesel RWD Thar does not come with an automatic gearbox.
The deliveries of the RWD Thar have begun pan India. The customers who booked their RWD variants in the first lot are being called by dealers for delivery.
