2023 Tata Nexon Facelift: Base Variant
The walkaround video has been uploaded by a YouTube channel named 'Anubhav Chauhan'. The base 2023 Tata Nexon, as shown in the images, features a striking Calgary White exterior. This variant is also available in other attractive colors, including Daytona Grey and Flame Red. Notable features of this model include LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED tail lights, 16-inch steel wheels, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), front power windows, and multi-drive modes for added convenience and safety. For a base variant, it sure offers more than you expected.

The Nexon Smart variant, when compared to the top-spec Fearless+ S variant, lacks several key features. These include an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED light bars at the front and rear, and dual-tone alloy wheels. This also makes all the sense as we are talking about the base variant here. Keep in mind, if you opt for the higher variants, it even comes with an ADAS suit along with all the features that are mentioned above.
Engine Specs
The base-spec Tata Nexon Smart variant comes with a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that generates 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. This engine is exclusively paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Higher variants offer the option of a 1.5-litre diesel engine as well.
Verdict
The base-spec Tata Nexon Smart variant offers a more affordable entry point into the popular compact SUV. While it may lack some of the top-tier features, it retains the core Nexon experience with a capable 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, making it an enticing option for those looking for a budget-friendly yet stylish and practical compact SUV.
