2023 Toyota Innova Crysta Diesel: What's Missing? Find Out
  • Innova Crysta Diesel Facelift launched
  • Offers a plethora of features
  • But misses out on some key things too

The way 2023 has begun and going on, it seems like the auto sector is trying to set a strong footing right from the start to have a solid year ahead. Launches after launches, new facelifts, RDE-compliant engine-equipped whole line-up updation, and the mandatory airbag rule belting out cars with 6 airbags as standard. It is a lot happening right now and also with the Toyota Innova Crysta.

But not everything is very unfamiliar. As they say, some things age like fine wine, and that is the case with the household name Innova Crysta. The 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta launched around a week ago. We told you everything, from launch to price, and everything we like about it and should you buy one.

But this time around, we tell you about the things we wished, were there. Let's get right into it.

1. Automatic Transmission

The new Innova Crysta 2023 brought the most demanded diesel engine back into the lineup. But in the process, the Automatic transmission has been shelved altogether. The new Innova Crysta is only available in the 2.4 liter Diesel engine mated to a Manual transmission only. This would be a pain point for people not very well versed with manual driving, considering the fact that Automatic transmission is now even offered with entry-level cars as well.

2. Toyota Innova Crysta: No Petrol Option

Revival of the diesel engine was the call of the market as well as the success story behind the Innova. But the petrol engine has been axed with the Crysta. Now, this might not be a very big thing, but it will be for the customers in NCR. The diesel cars can no longer be operated after 10 years in the Delhi NCR region. Whereas the petrol has a validity of 15 years, which makes more sense for NCR buyers.

3. ADAS Driving Assist Features

Now, this isnt a major miss, and the Innova offers plenty of features. But looking at the premium price tag that it retails at, it should have been integrated with the ADAS in 2023. Considering that its competitors as well as cars priced below Innova now come with ADAS features. The new Tata Safari, Tata Harrier, and the new 2023 MG Hector to name a few. This addition would have made it the complete package according to these changing times.

VERDICT- The Innova Crysta is largely a whole package, but nothing is perfect. This is also the case with the Crsysta. Some hits and some misses. Dont get us wrong. These arent deal breakers but something that was if integrated would have made it a more suitable product for people with varying requirements. Although, Should you still buy it? Yes!  Why? Head out to the link below, weve outlined exactly Why you should.
