2023 Toyota Innova Hycross MPV Details
The spied car shows that the new MPV will be an evolution of the Innova Crysta. Meanwhile, a lot of things are changed on the Hycross. The front fascia has already been teased online globally by Toyota. The rear end is imagined in the spy pics taken recently. Similar to the new front end, the rear also gets a revised glass area, new boot lid design, new rear bumper, & new LED taillights. However, the real design will only be revealed next month when it makes its global debut in Indonesia. Additionally, one can spot the bigger wheels with a new alloy wheel design.
Toyota is going to place the Hycross mainly for private owners. As the Crysta is more popular in the taxi market; the Hycross will break its taxi image globally. To accomplish this, it gets a longer chassis with more wheelbase hence it is expected to get more interior space. Additionally, previous spy shots have revealed that it will get a long list of features. These might include a panoramic sunroof, captain seats, 360-degree park assist, a bigger infotainment screen, a better sound system, etc.
Another noticeable change is going to be the use of the Corolla Altis sourced 2.0-lt petrol engine. However, it is going to be coupled with a hybrid powertrain. This mix will erase the need for power and simultaneously enhance fuel economy. Meanwhile, it is being reported on the internet that this powertrain will make a peak power of around 190 bhp. We guess it will be more than sufficient to compete with the rivals like Mahindra Marazzo & the KIA Carens.
Verdict
The new Innova Hycross will be debuted at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo. Hence, the launch will also follow in the coming weeks of it. However, for this year the MPV will debut globally in the markets like Indonesia. We expect the pricing of it will start from somewhere upwards of Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom in India.
