2023 Innova Hycross ADAS & Sunroof Details
Toyota has already got the name Zenix registered in Asian countries. However, Toyota might call it Hycross in India as per the reports on the internet. Additionally, the new Innova is based on a brand new platform. This is called TNGA-C and it is said to be lighter than the current chassis. Hence, it will allow the new Innova to become more fuel efficient along with increased performance.
However, Toyota is expected to sell the current-gen Innova Crysta as well along with the new car. Meanwhile, there are a lot of renders hovering on the internet that are trying to predict its design. The Hycross is expected to feature more bigger chassis; approx 100mm longer than the Innova Crysta itself. It will allow for more interior space. According to the reporting source, Toyota is going to offer a sunroof in the upcoming Hycross.
Additionally, a plethora of features is expected to be offered on the new Innova. These may include the likes of ADAS, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, powered rear seats, etc.
Engine & Specifications
In case you're wondering about the engine, it will get a hybrid tech. Yes, Toyota is not going to offer a diesel engine on the upcoming Innova. However, a new petrol engine is being developed that features the Toyota Hybrid System II (THS). This strong hybrid system will not only help in the additional torque and power but also lead to more economy. Meanwhile, the consistently tightening emission norms have led to this decision. Hence, no diesel on the new-gen Innova.
However, Toyota is trying for good fuel economy figures via the use of this tech. Hopefully, the strong image of Toyota Innova will remain unaltered even after the discontinuation of the diesel engine. Meanwhile, Toyota has stopped taking the bookings of diesel variants of the Crysta in India. This is done to process the long delivery log and help make up for the long waiting period for customers.
