2023 Yamaha FZ-X has been spied on ahead of its official debut. The updated FZ-X will get ADV-type front design & dual-channel ABS.
- Gets a new long windscreen
- Revised front design like ADV bikes
- Likely to get dual-channel ABS as well
When Yamaha introduced the FZ-X in India, it faced an identity crisis ever since. Looks like a rugged bike but a half-baked design led to not-so-good sales numbers of it. However, it looks like Yamaha is about to change this fact. The all-new 2023 Yamaha FZ-X has been spied on during a TVC shoot ahead of its official debut. The new bike has some interesting changes to it. Read the details of these changes below.
2023 Yamaha FZ-X Details
Speaking of the updates, the major difference on the new bike is its front design. The front end now comes with a long windscreen. This windscreen is something that looks similar to rivals like Hero Xpulse 200 4V. Additionally, the circular LED headlight is now supported by an ADV-like design. The front fender is now redesigned as well. The new fender design supports the overall rugged looks of the updated bike. Additionally, the spied-on bike had these golden-painted alloy wheels. This means that the updated bike will come with contrasting alloy wheels.
Meanwhile, the spied bike also had a different shade of orange. This paint shade has not been seen on the bike until now. This means that Yamaha will offer new colour options as well with the debut of the new FZ-X. Furthermore, the spied-on bike had dual-channel ABS. It will be a big welcome if Yamaha equips the updated FZ-X with it. Enhanced safety is what the majority of new customers look for.
However, we do not think that Yamaha will fiddle with its engine. This means that the 149cc, single-cylinder, reliable engine will continue being used on it. This engine is known for its bulletproof reliability and less maintenance costs; something that most buyers look for in this budget. This engine makes 12.4 bhp of peak power & 13.3 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Verdict
As Yamaha is shooting the official TVC; the official debut of the new FZ-X isn't far away. Hence, we can expect that in the coming weeks, it will be launched in India. However, expect a slight increase in the pricing due to the addition of dual-channel ABS as well as the new design. Its main competition will remain with the Honda CB200X.
