One notable fact is that this facelift is different than the one currently on sale internationally.
Let's discover everything that the spy shots reveal from under its wraps.
Hyundai Creta Facelift Spotted Testing In India
These spy shots of the Creta facelift reveal several key elements that confirm it as an updated version intended to compete with the new Seltos and Elevate, rather than the model currently available in global markets. Noteworthy features include distinctive inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a split headlight setup with LED headlamps, fresh roof rails and alloy wheel designs, and updated LED taillights.

Additionally, the facelifted Creta will showcase revised bumpers, blackened B-pillars, H-shaped taillight designs, an adjusted tailgate with a dedicated number plate recess, fog lights, and simulated skid plates. To make it malleate into the new design language of the South Korean Marque, it aims to follow Exter's design cues, where H-shaped DRLs are being incorporated at the front.
If you remember the section where we told you about the Creta facelift, then you already know that this version will be different than the current model sold globally. For the rest, the brand has confirmed that the Creta facelift in India is carrying fresh aesthetics and cabin, different from the facelift sold internationally.
For starters, it is poised to get a more Verna sedan-styled interior and is expected to incorporate a more advanced feature list. Meanwhile, going by the rivals in the segment, it will most likely offer an ADAS suit and 6 airbags as standard as well.
Features To Get An Upgrade
The current Creta already boasts an extensive array of features, but due to growing competition and recent releases in the market, it has fallen behind in certain aspects. To address this, the 2024 redesign is expected to introduce several new features to enhance its competitiveness. Anticipated upgrades include the addition of a 360-degree camera system, an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, dual-zone climate control, and a refreshed dashboard layout.
Despite these anticipated changes, the 2024 Creta will retain the same features as the outgoing model, ensuring that it continues to offer popular amenities such as the 10-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and more.
Powertrain
The upcoming 2024 Creta is expected to introduce a new powertrain option, namely a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine. This engine recently debuted in the Hyundai lineup with the Verna. It delivers a power output of 160 bhp and a peak torque of 253 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Additionally, the Creta is likely to continue offering the existing engine choices, which include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
Verdict
The Creta facelift is set to bring a refreshed design and new features, aiming to stay competitive in the market. With notable design changes and anticipated upgrades in technology and comfort, it appears Hyundai is committed to enhancing the Creta's appeal. This facelift seeks to strike a balance between staying true to its successful formula and adapting to evolving market expectations.
