2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB - Details
The new LWB version will essentially be the same E-Class as the standard but with more length. Codenamed as V214, this new model will be 5.092 mt in length, 1.88 mt in width, & 1.493 mt in height. This new LWB is more or less a variant & hence the design details are similar to the standard model. The only visible difference is the increased length which is reflected via the stretched rear doors. On the inside as well, it is similarly equipped as the standard variant but the space is lot more on the rear bench. Also, it gets electrically operated rear seat adjustment as well as Ottoman function.
Other details on the inside include the uniquely laid out dashboard with soft-touch leather bits all around. Additionally, it gets a big 12.2-inch digital speedometer console as well as a 14.4-inch floating touch infotainment screen. Under the hood, the Chinese specific model will get only an inline-6 cylinder petrol engine. However, the Indian-spec might be offered with the options of a 4-cylinder & a 6-cylinder engines.
Verdict
The LWB E-Class offers the panache of the three-pointed-star brand as well as the comfort of the S-Class. The length makes up for a proper executive sedan while the space & features combined with the plush ride quality transform it into a proper limo. But, the added length will come at a premium price as expected. The car shall debut in India around the second half of 2024 with a price tag of upwards of Rs 90 lakh (ex-showroom).
