2024 Tata Safari Facelift - What To Expect?
With the new facelift, Tata will radically change the Safari. As visible in the spy shots, it'll get a new front fascia. The front seems to be inspired by the Curvv SUV concept. Tata showcased the Curvv concept at the Auto Expo'23. Hence, the front bumper is now completely redesigned. Additionally, the headlights and the front grille will also undergo changes. We also expect that the headlights will be repositioned to make it look beefier from the front. The test mule spied on is seen standing along with its current rival i.e. Mahindra XUV 700. It is looking masculine than the current Safari.
Meanwhile, the rear end will also undergo similar changes. We expect that it'll get a new set of LED taillights with an LED lightbar on the boot lid. Also, the rear bumper will undergo a revision. Over the side profile, we can spot the design of new alloy wheels but it is camouflaged. On the inside, Tata will most probably introduce a new infotainment screen with a new UI. Also, the driver console will be digital as well as new. Meanwhile, new features like ADAS level 2 and 360-degree parking assist camera shall also be offered on it.
Mechanically, the SUV is sought to remain unchanged. This means that the current diesel powertrain will be offered as it is. But, we anticipate that Tata will introduce a new turbo-petrol engine. A new 1.5-lt petrol engine was showcased at the Auto Expo'23. Hence, Tata might offer it on the facelift of Safari as well as Harrier facelift.
Verdict
The Safari brand name beholds a huge value in the Indian car market. However, the new facelift of it will take the game one step ahead. With the new design updates and the new feature updates, the new Safari will become a more value-for-money product. But, the new changes will also attract an increase in its prices. The facelift model is anticipated to launch by early 2024 in India.
