2025 KTM 250 Adventure: Details
The new 250 Adventure bears resemblance to its bigger sibling, and more specifically it looks like the road-biased 390 Adventure X. The design language is in line with the newer-generation 390 Adventure, with similar body panels. Unlike its bigger sibling, the new 250 Adventure is likely to be available in a road-biased variant only.
It shares its platform with its bigger sibling, and as such it is built on a split-trellis frame. The powertrain has been lifted off of the 250 Duke; a 249cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 30.5bhp at 9250rpm and 25Nm of torque at 7250rpm. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the 250 Adventure can also be equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter optionally.
The 250 Adventure also makes use of 43mm WP Apex USD forks with 200mm of travel, and a 10-step pre-load WP Apex monoshock with 205mm of travel. This setup is identical to what is also offered on the road-biased 390 Adventure. In terms of braking, the 250 Adventure deploys a 320mm disc with radially-mounted callipers at the front, along with a 240mm disc with a floating calliper at the rear.

In terms of features, the new 250 Adventure also gets the familiar 5-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, music streaming, ride-by-wire, off-road ABS, off-road riding mode, adjustable footpegs, and a USB type-C port among other things.
The new 250 Adventure should also be launched soon enough, given that it has now been listed on KTM India's website. Stay tuned for more updates.
Verdict
The new 250 Adventure will be going up against the Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX, and the Hero Xpulse 210 could also be considered as a rival. With these set of updates, the new 250 Adventure should become a more tantalizing choice for customers in this segment who are looking for an accessible adventure motorcycle that does not intimidate them.
