The 2025 Vespa 125 and 150 lineup has arrived, and this is quite a significant update for the glamorous scooter, as it not only sees the addition of new variants, but it also brings along new equipment and some subtle design changes.

Design
The base 2025 Vespa retains the iconic rounded design that we have grown accustomed to seeing over all these years. However, it gets a new colour palette, along with a new LED headlamp. There are a total of seven colour options available on the base Vespa, which includes both monotone and dual-tone; Verde Amabile, Rosso Red, Pearl White, Nero Black, Azzurro Provenza, Blue and Pearl White, and Orange and Pearl White.
The Vespa S is the second variant in the lineup, and it differentiates itself visually with a rectangular headlamp; something that has been present in the lineup for a long time. The S variant also gets a palette of eight colour schemes, consisting of both monotone and dual-tone paint schemes; Verde Ambizioso (Matte), Oro, Pearl White, Nero Black (Matte), Giallo Yellow (Matte), Arancio Impulsivo, Red and Pearl White, Black and Pearl White.

The Vespa Tech and the S Tech are differentiated from each other in terms of design; while the Tech variant resembles the base Vespa with its round headlight, the S Tech variant comes with a rectangular headlight setup.
The Tech variant gives you three paint schemes to choose from; Energico Blue, Grigio Grey, and a special edition Vespa Qala that features motifs and art patterns inspired by Mehendi applied during the wedding season. Lastly, the S Tech variant comes with two paint schemes; Nero Black, and Pearl White.
Two Powertrain Choices With More Power
The 2025 Vespa continues to feature a 125cc and a 150cc powertrain option. The 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine remains identical, producing 9.3bhp at 7100rpm and 10.1Nm of torque. Meanwhile the 150cc powertrain has been updated, producing a marginally higher output than before; 11.2bhp at 7500rpm and 11.66Nm of torque. This is about 0.6bhp and 0,.4Nm of torque more than the outgoing models.

An Added Set Of Features
The 2025 Vespa lineup finally gets the features it should have ideally come with a long, long time ago. Although these features are not available in the lower variants, it is still a start, especially considering the kind of money buyers pay for it.
The Tech and the S Tech variant come equipped with a 5-inch TFT screen which gets bluetooth connectivity, navigation, calls/SMS alerts, and music streaming. Rounding things off are a keyless ignition system and LED lighting all around.

Verdict
The newest update to the Vespa lineup has brought along features that it should have come with a long time ago. While the design remains and the mechanicals remain the same, it continues to come in at a price that makes it rather unsuitable for mass-market buyers.
