Ampere Magnus: How Much You Can Save?
Usually priced at Rs. 94,900 (ex-showroom), the Ampere Magnus is currently available at a discount of Rs. 10,000, taking its ex-showroom price down to Rs. 84,900. The announced price drop gives the Magnus electric scooter an advantage over its competitors such as the Ola S1 Pro and TVS IQube.
Ampere Magnus: Powertrain
The Magnus sources its power from a hub motor that comes mated to a 2.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The electric scooter offers two riding models- Eco and City. On a solitary charge, the Magnus electric scooter provides a maximum range of more than 100 km. Also, it has an impressive acceleration capability that allows it to reach from 0-40 kmph in just 10 seconds and it can run with a top speed of 53 kmph. With this, you also get a reverse mode that makes the ride more convenient.
Features
On the feature front, the Ampere Magnus gets an LCD instrument cluster that shows information such as range, odometer, battery level and time. Additionally, you get a halogen headlamp, tail light, indicators and LED DRLs as well. Other features on offer include a side-stand indicator and a "Limp Home" function for emergencies when the battery drops to 10 per cent (essentially to take you home with a reduced battery consumption).
Hardware
The Ampere Magnus comes equipped with a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes on both sides. The electric scooter offers a combined braking system (CBS) even with the base model which makes the braking system more efficient.
