Tata Safari is one of the desirable 7-seater SUVs in the market right now. Right from interior modification to the alloy wheels upgradation, we have brought you a lot of details around it. This time, it is the base XE variant of the Tata Safari that has been extensively modified with all the utility items and the owner spent Rs 1.10 lakh on all of the work. Let's have a look at how this base variant XE of Tata Safari has been modified and what it packs!
The ex-showroom, Jaipur cost of Safari XE variant is Rs 14.99 lakh and the owner paid Rs 16.95 lakh for the on-road, Jaipur. This modification has been done in Jaipur itself.
What you see here is a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that now offers wireless mirroring. It is an android setup. Then the sound system of the SUV has been upgraded and it now gets a JBL Infinity speaker set-up that costs Rs 10,000. The touchscreen comes at a cost of Rs 18,000.

Furthermore, the owner has modified the interior too of the SUV and it now gets bucket seat covers. They match the grey and black interior colour scheme. Similarly, this same treatment is observed on the door seat fabric as well. To further give a cleaner look, the owner has opted for the 7-D matting that costs an additional Rs 5,000. The cost of bucket seat covers for all the seats comes at Rs 15,000.
The Safari XE now also get 17-inch grey alloy wheels with 17-inch rubber and they cost Rs 42,000. The stock 16-inch tyres were replaced with them. Other fitments like the steering mounted controls (Rs 3,000), HID (Rs 7500), LED fog light (Rs 3000), LED Parking Lights (Rs 700), Rear camera for Rs 3000 and a front camera with recording for just Rs 2,000 are also seen.
Overall, this job looks neatly done and the customer is satisfied with the modification. Tata Safari XE comes with a 2.0-litre, FCA sourced diesel engine. This unit churns out 170 PS of power with a peak torque of 350 Nm. A 6-speed manual is observed as standard while the higher variants also get a 6-speed automatic unit.
