Morris Garages entered the Indian market in the year 2019 and relished instant success with the Hector mid-size SUV. The Hector became instantly popular, thanks to its unique design language, decent powertrains, feature-loaded cabin and attractive price & after-sales package. Now, just a few days ago, MG launched the Anniversary Edition of this SUV to commemorate one year of the Hector in India. Now, MG has launched the dual-tone variants of the Hector to further lure the buyers. The prices of the new dual-tone MG Hector BS6 start at Rs. 16.84 lakhs, Ex-showroom. Here are all the details.
The new dual-tone version of the Hector is officially called Dual Delight. The dual-tone shade is offered only on the top-spec Sharp trim of the Hector and it demands around 20,000 rupees more than the mono-tone variants. The new dual-tone variants of the Hector get a blacked-out roof, A-pillar and also the ORVMs are blacked-out to make it look more charming. Apart from these cosmetic updates, there are no other mechanical or cosmetic changes on this mid-size SUV. Also, since it is based on the top-spec Sharp trim, the new Hector Dual Delight comes loaded with all the bells and the whistles.

As already mentioned before, the new dual-tone variants don't get any mechanical changes. So, they are powered by the same BS6-compliant petrol hybrid and diesel engine options. It gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The petrol motor is assisted by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and it comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed DCT. The other powerplant is a 2.0-litre diesel engine that develops 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
Lastly, talking about the price, so the prices of the new 2020 MG Hector dual-tone BS6 are as mentioned below:
- 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid MT - Rs. 16.84 lakhs
- 1.5-litre petrol DCT - Rs. 17.76 lakhs
- 2.0-litre diesel MT - Rs. 18.09 lakhs

All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The new MG Hector Dual Delight will be available with two dual-tone colour shades - Candy White with Starry Black and Glaze Red with Starry Black.
