New BYD E-SUV Details
The BYD sells various affordable EV models internationally such as the Dolphin, Atto 2 and the BYD Tang. The upcoming BYD E-SUV will probably be launched under the 20 lakh category. The brand has been evaluating and shortlisting the model most suitable for the Indian market. If everything goes well, there are possibilities of BYD showcasing that specific model at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025. This time BYD is targeting the mass-market space, so the upcoming EV will be affordable for most buyers.
BYD Atto 2 For India?
There are reports suggesting that the upcoming E-SUV could be the Atto 2, The BYD Atto is currently on sale in some selected markets abroad. It measures 4310 mm in length, 1,830 mm wide, 1,675 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2620 mm. This could be the most suitable model for the Indian market.
In terms of design, the Atto 2 gets LED headlamps and DRLs, BYD's signature bumper and a close-off grille with some chrome treatment on it. On the sides, it features body-coloured door handles, thick body cladding and stylish alloy wheels. At the back, it comes with stylish tail lamps, a shark fin antenna and a rear washer and wiper.
The Atto 2 has features such as a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, head-up display, and wireless charging, Other features include an 8-speaker premium sound system, panoramic sunroof and ADAS.
Upcoming BYD E-SUV: Creta and Curvv EV Rival
The Atto 2 is available with a 45.1 kWh battery pack internationally. It delivers a CLTC range of 401 km on a solitary charge. Things could be different for the India spec variant, but they are expected to be largely similar. Once launched, the upcoming E-SUV from BYD will rival the Tata Curvv EV, Maruti EVx and the Creta EV.
