With the rise of the SUV department in the country, we were expecting a facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan 5-seater, however, the launch for this one has now shifted to June of this year. Earlier, the Citroen C5 Aircross rival was expected to launch in the first half of May, however, due to the Pandemic situation in India, the German carmaker has decided to shift its launch date.
We believe with the launch of the Volkswagen Tiguan, the sales of the 5-seater SUV will help the carmaker. The older model was priced at an expensive price and it did not satisfy the need of the buyers. However, this all-new facelifted Tiguan will surely be a treat because it packs an all-new petrol unit, updated features and a new design.
Sharing the details on the engine front then it now receives a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor which generates as much as 190 PS of power with 320 Nm of peak torque. This engine is the same as the Tiguan Allspace. One only gets a 7-speed DSG gearbox with it which thus increases the performance as well as helps in returning a good fuel economy.
