Mahindra 3XO Base Variant Spotted; No Alloys, No LED Headlamps!
Mahindra 3XO has been teased by the brand sharing a glimpse of key exterior elements, confirming the radical updates that the compact SUV is pulling off. Meanwhile, the variant in focus is the base model that has been spied testing. In contrast to the top-tier trims that were caught earlier, this one gets halogen lighting all around, a grey wheel cap ditching the alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, and beige upholstery.
The updated Mahindra 3XO is however brimmed up with tech and comes with all the bling in its top-spec variants. Apart from LED lighting, you get Level-2 ADAS, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with Adrenox connectivity, dual-zone automatic control, a 360-degree camera, a segment-first panoramic sunroof, and more.
The forthcoming 3XO is set to feature refreshed designs both at the front and rear. Its front will showcase a new headlamp assembly comprising a split LED headlamp unit with a projector headlamp and fog lamps. Adding to its allure, a new L-shaped LED DRL will grace the front fascia. Additionally, the front bumper will undergo some modifications. On the side, diamond-cut alloy wheels with an updated design will enhance the profile. At the rear, expect a connected LED light bar and C-shaped tail lamps to elevate the rear aesthetics.

Powertrain Options
The XUV 3XO carries over the engine options from its XUV 300 sibling. This means you'll have a choice between a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine making 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT transmissions. For those seeking more punch, a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol Stallion TGDi engine with 230 Nm of torque is also on offer. You also get a 1.5-liter diesel unit producing 117 bhp and 300 Nm of torque with manual and automatic transmission options.
Verdict
This much needed update will breath new life into the slowing down sales of this Tata Nexon rival. While Mahindra is pumping a lot of tech and feel to updatig the 3XO, its revival hinges mainly on how it fares against the rivals. However, with a segment first panoramic sunroof, it alerady scores some extra brownie points.
