Force Gurkha is a strong name in the 4x4 hub, however, the SUV has lost its position to the mighty Mahindra Thar. Mostly because of the less number of features and the service support which hinders 4x4 enthusiasts interest from buying this butchy SUV.
However, this year is interesting as Force showcased an all-new Gurkha which gets an all-new platform and modern ergonomics which suits the basic needs of buyers. 2020 Gurkha gets new chassis, underbidding, suspension, engine improvement, design and among others, all of them which receives a new level of sophistication.
Sharing more details on the engine then it gets a 2.6-litre, turbocharged diesel engine which makes 90 bhp on tap. It gets 4x4 setup as standard. Also, at the 2020 Auto Expo, we also heard that Force might bring in the Gurkha with multiple wheelbases and an all-new 2.2L diesel engine. The latter will churn in more power and will easily give a tough competition to Mahindra Thar.
