The Ford EcoSport is one of the most orted compact sub-4M SUVs in the market right now and can be had with petrol and diesel powertrain options. With the rising competition in the segment from cars such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and the Maruti Brezza, Ford has upgraded the EcoSport with a new android system. As per the recent reports, the Ford Ecosport will now have a touchscreen android system in the Trend, Thunder, Titanium, and Titanium+ variants. This Android OS will be replacing the older WINCE system which was currently being offered with the car. The new system will run on Android 4.2.2 and will support Wi-Fi features like Over the Air (OTA) updates, live traffic updates, and navigation support. In addition to this, the new system will also offer conference call functionality. It is worth noting the fact that the S variant of the car will continue to come with the Sync 3 system. The vehicles which are manufactured in August 2020 onwards will be available with the new Android system.

Currently, the Ford Ecosport is offered in six trim options - Ambient, Trend, Titanium, Thunder, Titanium+, and S. All these variants can be had with either a 1.5-L Dragon petrol engine or a 1.5-L TDCi engine. The maximum power output from these engines stands ar 112 PS and 100 PS respectively while the peak torque figures stand at 149 Nm and 215 Nm respectively. With this engine come mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox as standard while the buyers can also opt for the optional 6-Speed AT with the 1.5-L petrol engine.
