- New Adventure Edition of Hyundai Creta and Alcazar coming soon
- Fresh Ranger Khaki color option like the Exter
- Launch around the August-September mark
After the massive success that the Hyundai Creta and the Alcazar enjoy, the brand is coming up with a twist with these movers. The reports suggest that a new Adventure Edition is on the cards with the Hyundai Creta as a replacement for the Knight Edition. But this time, not only Creta, but the Alcazar is also the one to get this addition.
Let's look at what it aims to offer the buyers at its launch.
Hyundai Creta, Alcazar Adventure Edition- A Fresh Push
Hyundai is launching the Creta and Alcazar Adventure Editions, which will be a purely cosmetic exercise. Both SUVs are getting a new 'Ranger Khaki' color option, previously seen on the recently launched Exter. On top of this, a dual-tone roof like the Exter is on the way as well.
It will take cues from the Exter SUV and extend the black-out treatments across the real estate like the bumpers, door garnish, ORVMs, alloy wheels, and more. It will don the Adventure Edition badging for a clear standout. Apart from cosmetic touch-ups, other elemets are going to be the same without any tweaks, mechanical or technological.
As per dealer sources, the Creta and Alcazar Adventure Editions will feature all-black interiors, complemented by contrast stitching on the upholstery and 'Adventure Edition' badges on the seat headrests and door sills. Similar to the Knight Edition, these Adventure Editions are expected to be available in multiple trims, with the features list being equivalent to the trim on which they are based.
Mechanically Untouched
Since the updates play with cosmetics only, the heart and soul remain the same. Creta Adventure Edition will be available with both its 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines, offering customers the option to choose between these powertrain options. Similarly, the Alcazar Adventure Edition will come with its 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and diesel engines, providing a variety of engine choices to suit different preferences and driving needs.
As with the Knight Edition model, the Adventure Edition will also be offered with both manual and automatic gearboxes. On top of this, the price will see a slight bump when compared to the trims they are based on.
Verdict
The new edition introduction is a regular practise by the automkers to impart a fresh appeal to their line-up. The same can be seen across the brands. While it pushes more sales for the company, buyers get a reltively new perspective to an already existing car. A win - win situation for both.
