Different Front Profile
The Rumion will feature a different front profile in comparison to the Ertiga. It will showcase a sizable front grille resembling the one seen on the Innova Crysta. Additionally, the front profile will include a redesigned bumper and fog lamp assembly. The grille will be surrounded by chrome surroundings, while the central part will sport a gloss black finish. Moreover, the lower bumper will be surrounded by chrome accents. However, the headlamp design will resemble that of the Ertiga, and the Rumion will be equipped with the same projector headlamp.
Different Alloy Wheels
Regarding the side profile, the Rumion will retain the same 15-inch alloy wheels as the Ertiga, but with a different design. In the international market, the Rumion comes equipped with swirl-type alloy wheels, which we can also expect to see in the Indian market.
Redesigned Bumpers
In line with their practice of rebadging vehicles, Toyota will also update the bumper design of the Rumion. The upcoming Rumion is expected to receive new front and rear bumpers, featuring fresh creases and brushed aluminum treatment.
New Interior & Exterior Colour
The Rumion is anticipated to feature a fresh interior color theme, while retaining a layout similar to the Ertiga. The features inside will also remain similar. The updates may include new color themes for the dashboard, door pads, and upholstery. On the exterior, we can expect to see new color options offered, akin to the international spec variants, which will help distinguish the Rumion from the Ertiga.

These elements will set apart the forthcoming Toyota Rumion from the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Nonetheless, the features and engine specifications of the Rumion will remain identical to those of the Ertiga.
Toyota Rumion Engine
Toyota will use the same 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 103 bhp and a maximum torque of 137 Nm, for the Rumion. This engine will be paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as well as a 5-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, there are prospects of the brand introducing a CNG powertrain in the future.
Verdict
In the Indian market, the Rumion will become the third Maruti Suzuki vehicle to be rebranded as a Toyota. Despite sharing similar features and mechanical specifications with the Maruti Ertiga, the upcoming Rumion is expected to come with a higher price tag. Toyota's reputation for offering extended warranty coverage and excellent after-sales service is likely to appeal to customers who prefer a Toyota badge over Maruti, which could facilitate the successful sale of the Rumion in the Indian market.
