Karizma CE001 Concept Bike Launch: What To Expect?
As per a social media post, Hero Motocorp has begun the bookings for this special edition bike. Badged as a collector's item, the CE001 codenamed bike is based on the Karizma XMR. However, Hero has clear intentions to name it differently than the Karizma moniker. It is a special bike that pays tribute to the founder of the company, and hence it gets loaded with high-quality performance parts. Mimicking the old Karizma half-fairing design, it uses carbon fibre panels extensively throughout its bodywork. Hero has also equipped it with a full-system Akrapovic exhaust. The hardware including its suspension and brakes, are also made of high-quality performance parts.
While there is no official information available regarding its engine specs, we suspect it'll use the same 210cc single-cylinder engine as the new Karizma. However, it is likely to get a power and torque upgrade with a race ECU and the performance parts. For reference, the production-spec Karimza makes a peak power of 25bhp and 20Nm of peak torque.
Now, as per the information available through the social media post, we assume that it'll get a fixed base price. Hero will intake a very limited number of buyers through online bookings. Meanwhile, these buyers will further access the online auction to purchase this collector's edition bike. Currently, Hero Motocorp's online website has no such dedicated portal for bookings.

Verdict
The craze for collector's items as such the bikes, is simply unmatched among niche buyers. Hero's attempt is not to enter into a new category, but, to create a name and pay tribute to its founder through this bike. Additionally, the CE001 also shows that Hero has potential of making special bikes that can match the international brands.
