Distinguishing the Prime from the Xtec variant is a matter of features. The former embraces a more simplistic style with a larger headlamp, body-coloured mirrors, and a single-tone seat. In contrast, the Xtec boasts chrome-finished mirrors, a backrest-equipped grab rail, and a dual-tone seat. While the Prime lacks Bluetooth connectivity and a front mobile charging port, it makes up with an under-seat charging port, an under-seat lamp, auto start/stop functionality, and a semi-digital console.

The Prime edition retains its 124.6cc, air-cooled engine producing 9bhp and 10.36Nm, paired with a CVT gearbox. Weighing 115kg and featuring a 5-litre fuel tank, it offers consistent performance. Available in Pearl Silver White, Nexus Blue, and Nobel Red, the Hero Destini 125 Prime exhibits a slightly more classic touch with steel wheels, deviating from the alloy wheels of the Xtec.

Rolling on 10-inch rims, it relies on telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear for a smooth ride. Braking is facilitated by drum brakes at both ends, ensuring safe stops. Explore the blend of simplicity and functionality in the Hero Destini 125 Prim

It faces competition from rivals like TVS Jupiter 125, Hero Maestro Edge 125, and Honda Activa 125 in the market.

Verdict

The Hero Destini 125 Prime presents a simpler design and feature package compared to the Xtec variant. While lacking certain modern conveniences, its classic approach and affordability make it an interesting contender in the market.
