Hero Karizma XMR 210 is the next big launch in the Indian two-wheeler segment. The upcoming sports bike has been shown to dealers already. In fact, a test mule of it was seen recently in Japiur with production-ready specs. However, the new Karizma will be one step ahead of its competition. Hero Karizma XMR 210 - What To Expect?
Speaking of the XMR 210, Hero showed it at a dealer-only event. A photo of it also got leaked showing its sporty design. Now, the first change will be the design itself. It'll get a sporty design with a dedicated riding position. Also, the front will be aggressive with a stretched LED headlight and large side fairing. Meanwhile, the big sculpted fuel tank indicates easy long-range to the riders. A split seat setup with a slightly raised rear end design is going to be the main attraction on it. However, Hero will make it a sports tourer and hence the footpegs will be center-set. Also, it might not get clip-on handlebars for ease of riding.
The second major area of improvement is going to be the features list. Most probably, it'll get a TFT display. Also, we can expect the Xtec tech that helps to connect smartphones via Bluetooth. Hence, info like SMS alerts/call alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, etc., will be visible to the rider. Meanwhile, it'll also get features like a windscreen, telescopic front suspension, monoshock at the rear, alloy wheels, & disc brakes.
Additionally, a brand new engine of 210cc with liquid cooling is also expected to be featured on it. This engine will have an aggressive powerband with good redline performance as expected. Also, a 6-speed gearbox will be used on it. Apart from this, we suspect that Hero shall equip it with multiple ABS modes as it did with the latest Xpulse 200 4V. Meanwhile, safety features like a slipper-assist clutch might also be offered on the upcoming Karizma.
Verdict
Reviving the iconic Karizma brand isn't going to be easier for Hero. The competition has surely become tough now. Rivals like KTM RC 200 & Yamaha R15 V4 are eagerly waiting to take on the new Karizma. But, if Hero gets it all right; the new Karizma might change the game. We're anticipating that it'll launch by the upcoming Diwali festival. Also, the expected price range of it will be Rs 1.60 lakh - Rs 1.80 lakh ex-showroom.
