Hero Karizma XMR 210 - Details
The upcoming Karizma will be a completely new product. Aside from the iconic Karizma badge, it'll be different in every way. We saw its design glimpse when the bike was shown to the dealers at a closed event. It'll be a sports bike with fairing at the front. But, to make it comfortable, the handlebar and rider footpegs will be positioned in a relaxed manner. The front design of it'll get a sharp V-shaped LED headlight while the sculpted fuel tank will be attached to a large side fairing on both sides. We also saw the design patent leaks of it. The patent image showed the upright set rear design with split seats.
Also, the new Karizma will be based on a Trellis frame chassis. This new chassis will embrace a new engine as well. While there're no official details about it, we suspect it to be a 210cc single-cylinder powertrain. This unit will be the first liquid-cooled engine by Hero. It shall make peak power in the range of 25 bhp & a peak torque of around 22 Nm. This powertrain will be mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper-assist clutch (expected). Features will include a digital instrument console, LED lights, telescopic front suspension, rear monoshock, & alloy wheels.
Verdict
The upcoming Karizma XMR will debut on 29 August. It'll compete with rivals like Yamaha R15 V4 & Bajaj Pulsar RS200. We suspect that it'll be priced around Rs 1.75 lakh. However, it'll be a big move by Hero to revive the old iconic badge. If its beautiful in design with a potent engine, we can expect the Karizma to outsell its rivals.
