Hero Karizma XMR 210 Launched At Rs 1.73 Lakhs Introductory Price

After much hype, the Hero Karizma XMR 210 is finally launched in India at an introductory price of Rs. 1,72,900 ex-showroom. Reviving the iconic Karizma moniker is a masterstroke by the brand as it already enjoys a cult following. With a 210cc engine and plenty of practical and segment-first features on board, this motorcycle already looks like hitting a sweet spot.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Design

Keeping alive the sporty nature that it was once known for, the Hero Karizma XMR 210 is a head-turner for sure. While the looks are subjective, they follow a very fluid bodyline. The design is marked by a profusion of intricate contours and lines. Its front fascia showcases unique LED daytime running lights (DRLs) creatively divided by a projector LED headlight, shaping an 'X' motif with the DRLs. The frontal profile also features a transparent windscreen. The positioning of the rear-view mirrors on the front cowl contributes to improved handlebar control, consequently enhancing maneuverability.

Standout elements encompass sleek LED indicators and the inclusion of telescopic front suspension for added functionality. The side fairing seamlessly merges with the front cowl, extending uninterrupted to the engine casing. Its multi-layer composition augments the bike's sporty demeanor. The curved panels not only reflect its aerodynamic nature but also facilitate smooth airflow at elevated speeds. With the middle section exposed, the bike proudly exhibits its dynamic inner workings. Noteworthy features include a sculpted fuel tank, a compact upswept exhaust, a split seat configuration, and a streamlined tail section.

It comes equipped with a telescopic front fork and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. Moreover, it features a clip-on handlebar while the braking responsibilities are managed by disc brakes on both wheels, supported by a dual-channel ABS system.

In terms of features, it is pretty enticing as well. It gets a first in segment Adjustable Windscreen. It now comes with a fully digital instrument console with a range of information like a speedometer and tachometer. On top of this, theres a gear indicator while the left and right edges have bars for temperature and fuel level, respectively. On top of this, it gets Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, a segment first. The LED headlamp comes with an intelligent illumination feature, which is yet another segment-first.

Powering the bike is a 210cc liquid-cooled (a Hero first), DOHC 4V engine with a 6-speed gearbox. It puts out a segment-leading power of 25.5PS @ 9250 rpm along with the highest torque in its segment, 20.4 Nm @7250 rpm. Its direct rival, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 for comparison, has a 199.5cc single-cylinder engine with an SOHC setup. It has liquid cooling, 4 valves, and a 6-speed gearbox, generating 24.1 bhp of max power and 18.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine is nestled within a steel trellis frame, suspended by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
