Hero Xpulse 210 Design And Features: Stays True To The Purpose
The overall design of the new Hero Xpulse 210 is an evolution of the already-available Xpulse 200 4V. The fuel tank, front and rear fenders and fuel tank extensions have been restyled over the Xpulse 200 4V. However, the Xpulse 210 continues to be a purposeful, tall-and-lean dual-purpose motorcycle. Other highlights of the new Hero Xpulse 210 that have been restyled are the tall and transparent front windscreen, the upswept exhaust and the rear luggage rack.
The new Hero Xpulse 210 has also been equipped with a new LED projector headlamp with H-shaped LED DRLs, a new LED tail lamp, LED turn indicators and dual-channel ABS with three riding modes Road, Off-Road and Rally. While the Base variant gets a 4.2-inch LCD instrument console, the Top variant gets a fancier and more informative 4.2-inch full-TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity.
Hero Xpulse 210 Engine And Performance: A New But Familiar Engine
Compared to the oil-cooled, 200cc engine of the Xpulse 200 4V, the new Hero Xpulse 210 gets a new four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 210cc engine. Shared with the Karizma XMR, this DOHC engine claims 24.6 PS @ 9,250 rpm and 20.7 Nm @ 7,250 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed transmission, which also gets a slipper and assist clutch.
Hero Xpulse 210 Suspension And Brakes: New Elements Serving The Same Purpose
The new Hero Xpulse 210 sits on a new semi-double-cradle high-tensile steel frame, with the dual-purpose off-roader getting a suspension setup of 41mm telescopic front fork at the front and a 10-step adjustable gas-charged mono-shock with a rectangular swingarm at the rear.
With a ground clearance of 220mm and long travel for the suspension 210mm front and 205mm rear, the Hero Xpulse 210 has all the bases covered for a functional dual-purpose motorcycle. Along with the frame and suspension, both the variants of the Xpulse 210 have the same braking setup 276mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brakes and the same tyres 90/90-21 front and 120/80-18 rear.
