Honda CB350 Scrambler: Design and Engine
A few days ago, a design patent image of an upcoming ADV based on the CB350 was leaked online. Now, another design patent has leaked that shows a scrambler bike based on the CB350. Honda is working on this version that will get a rugged appeal.
The image shows a brand new rugged fuel tank design. The riding posture looks upright as the handlebar is tilted towards the rider. Moreover, it'll get a long travel suspension for a better off-road riding experience. The design image also shows alloy wheels that might get block-pattern tyres.
As a CB350-based model, it'll get the same 350cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. However, Honda will re-tune this engine and the gear ratios to adjust the new design. The patent image also has an upswept exhaust and fork gaiter kit.
This upcoming Scrambler will rival the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The possible launch of it will take place by 2025. Price-wise, we anticipate that it'll be positioned above the CB350 RS.
Verdict
With the two new design patents leaked within a span of a week, Honda seems serious about its expansion plans in India. Both bikes are based on the CB350 thus helping the portfolio with ease of part sharing. We expect both of these models to get introduced in India by next year.
