The launch of Activa H-Smart received a humongous response from the market. Honda has been very happy with the introduction of the new H-Smart tech in India. Now, HMSI is eyeing to extend the H-Smart moniker on its other products. Hence, the rumours are buzzing that Honda Dio H-Smart is the next launch in the pipeline. It is expected to debut in the coming weeks. Read all of its known details below. Meanwhile, you can join our 91Wheels Whatsapp Group for all of such latest updates from the automotive industry.

Honda Dio H-Smart - What To Expect?
As expected, the H-Smart will be a new top variant in the Dio scooter lineup. The current lineup of Dio includes two variants - Standard & Deluxe. The Standard is priced at Rs 68,625 ex-showroom while the Deluxe is priced at Rs 72,626. Hence, the H-Smart will be positioned above both of them. We suspect that Honda will not fiddle with its design but a few changes can be expected. For example, new colour schemes, new graphics, & even new wheel contrast colours might be introduced. But, the main addition will be the H-Smart key. It'll be as same as the Activa H-Smart. Hence, one can expect the keyless start/stop, SmartUnlock, & the SmartSafe features on it.
Mechanically, HMSI will not altear the Dio. As it is just a new variant, majority of changes are related to the new key and its functions. Hence, the engine on the H-Smart will be the same unit. The current Dio is powered by a 109.51cc single-cylinder engine. This engine makes a peak power of 7.76 PS & 9 Nm of peak torque. Honda offers LED headlight, semi-digital instrument console, & combi-brakes on the current Dio deluxe.
Verdict
We anticipate that HMSI will launch the new Dio very soon; maybe in the next month itself. As it requires no major alterations, the H-Smart will be priced fairly. One can expect the pricing to revolve around Rs 75,000 once the scooter variant debuts. Its main rivals are TVS Jupiter & Hero Maestro Edge 110.
