Honda Motorcycles has recently announced a recall for the Honda CB350 and the Honda H'ness CB350 in India. The recall is specifically announced for the units manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024 due to some speed sensor and camshaft-related issues. Apart from this, the manufacturer has also recalled the CB300F, CB300R and CB350RS motorcycles due to some issues with the speed sensor. Honda Officially Says...
Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India mentioned in a statement that due to some irregularities in the molding procedure during manufacturing, there are possibilities of water seeping into the wheel speed sensor, eventually causing speed sensor malfunction. This fault can further impact the speedometer's accuracy, traction control system, and ABS efficiency. It can even lead to serious problems such as braking issues at higher speeds, leading to harmful road accidents.
How Many Units Recalled?
With the CB350 and the H'ness CB350, Honda has also recalled certain units of the CB300F, CB300R and the CB350RS. The two-wheeler giant hasn't yet mentioned the exact number of the units impacted, but it has clarified that an unexpected error has led to the issues with the camshaft component of the motorcycles. The company has also mentioned that these malfunctioning has been observed in the unit made between June 2024 and July 2024.
