Hyundai Exter March 2024: Waiting Period Gets A Sizeable Cut
The waiting timeline of Hyundai Exterhas been refreshed in March 2024 and you can now get your micro SUV delivered much earlier than before. If you book your model this month, you are looking at a waiting period of up to 16 weeks. This is a significantly shorter duration than the earlier 36-week timeline. However, depending on the choice of fuel options and variants, these time frames differ accordingly.
The entry-spec trims- EX, EX (O) come home in about 14-16 weeks while the top-end SX (O) Connect reaches the customers earliest in 4 to 6 weeks time. The CNG version along with other variants has a standard waiting time of up to 10 weeks. However, it is always a good idea to contact your nearest dealership for the exact delivery timeline applicable to your combination of selections.
Hyundai Exter comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that puts out 81bhp with a peak torque of 113 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. You can also opt for a petrol+CNG powertrain but the performance figures drop when the CNG mode kicks in which is an inherent trait of the CNG fuel.
Hyundai Now Offers 6 Airbags As Standard Across Its Portfolio
Taking road safety to the next level, Hyundai now offers 6 airbags as standard across its entire range. This means that starting right from the base model of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, all Hyundai cars now come with 6 airbags. Notably, last year, the Road Transport Ministry was looking to make it compulsory for carmakers to implement this feature but was pushed to a later date for the time being. Hyundai went ahead and adopted the same which is a commendable job.
Verdict
The tumbling down waiting period is a big sigh of relief. While on one hand waiting 9 months for a car is an extremely long time, the new time line is at least a little reasonable than before.
