Hyundai India refreshed the Hyundai i20 hatchback with subtle enhancements in September 2023. According to some sources, the automaker is gearing up to unveil an upcoming Sportz (O) variant as a new addition to the hatchback's range. With this addition, there are quite a few new features making their way as well with one of them being an electric sunroof.

Hyundai i20 Sportz(O) Variant: Coming Soon
Anticipated to come equipped with three additional features, the new variant is set to include an electric sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and a cushioned armrest for the driver-side door pad. Building upon the Sportz variant, it will retain existing features such as LED tail lamps, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver seat.

Current Features List
The i20 hatchback, already offering a range of segment-first and best-in-segment features in its top-spec Asta (O) variant, includes examples such as the Oxyboost air purifier with an air quality indicator, wireless charger with a cooling pad, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system, Bose premium 7-speaker system, and Hyundai BlueLink with over-the-air (OTA) map updates.
When it comes to safety, it offers standard features like 6 airbags, and additional safety attributes like tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, hill assist control, reverse parking sensors and camera, automatic headlamps, day-night inside rear-view mirror, headlamp escort function, burglar alarm, and immobilizer.
Powertrain Options
The upcoming Sportz (O) variant is set to provide flexibility with both MT and iVT gearbox options. Under the hood, the sole engine option is a 1.2L NA petrol engine. Renowned for its refinement, the 1.2 Kappa engine delivers 83 PS of maximum power and 114.7 Nm of maximum torque. Drivers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or an IVT transmission.
As of now, Hyundai presents the i20 in multiple variants, including Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O). The price range for these variants commences at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
