From the table above, the Safari has all the edge here and has got Alcazar by the neck. The bigger 2.0L FCA source diesel making 168 bhp with a whopping 350 Nm of peak torque. For an SUV of this size, it feels justice to even the buyers, however, for those concerned about the fuel economy, the 2.0L diesel won't be as fuel-efficient. Hyundai Alcazar returns 20.40 kmpl whereas Safari brings to just 16.14 kmpl.
Another advantage that Alcazar has over the Safari is the light steering that will make a breeze for the drivers even in city traffic. Despite the added length, the Alcazar steering really feels light at the city speeds and when you're parking it. On the other hand, it feels a whole different exercise of your arms when you are driving Safari at city speeds. Also, the 6-speed MT of Safari is not that friendly in the city due to the long travel distance of the clutch.

If you're spending close to Rs 20 lakh on-road then you really want something worthy of your money and that looks gigantic. Well, some think that. Rest, are looking for a low-key SUV that also looks great, rich in features and carries a considerable amount of size.
Tata Safari here has all the edge over the Alcazar as it is longer, wider, taller and even carries more ground clearance. However, it is the Alcazar that gets a roomier cabin with a 2760 mm wheelbase and has more boot space of 180 litres than the 73 litres of the Safari. The fuel tank capacity of both the SUVs stick to 50 litres, however, it is the Alcazar that will churn out more kilometres because of the better fuel efficiency.
