Hyundai Alcazar CNG has been spied testing on Indian roads. Just recently, a spy shot of Carens CNG was floating on the internet and now, its rival Alcazar CNG has been spotted too. We believe that the launch is around the corner and the South Korean carmaker will offer the SUV in all the variants.
Currently, Hyundai Alcazar gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This is the same motor found in Tucson and Elantra but with retuned power figures. It generates 157 bhp of power with 192 Nm of peak torque. However, with the CNG, do expect at least a 15% drop in power and torque figures.

The ARAI certified mileage of Hyundai Alcazar sticks to 14.5 kmpl for the manual and 14.2 kmpl for the AT. Hyundai will offer the Alcazar with the manual versions only and we do expect a bump in the economy thus making Alcazar cheaper to run.
When compared to its cousin, Kia Carens then it'll offer CNG with the 1.4L turbo petrol motor. This engine belts out 138 bhp of power with 242 Nm of peak torque. Like the Alcazar, Carens CNG too will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission only. The ARAI certified mileage of Carens 1.4L turbo petrol sticks to 16.2 kmpl which is quite higher than the Alcazar.
