According to reports on the internet, Hyundai India's Director of Sales, Marketing, and Services, Mr. Tarun Garg, has rejected the rumour, stating that the brand's CNG lineup will not extend beyond the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. Mr. Garg also said, "People who are looking for low running costs are already opting for the diesel variants and hence, there is no scope for a CNG powertrain in an SUV." Additionally, he says that the diesel option is chosen by approximately 23% of Venue buyers.

2022 Hyundai Venue Engine Options

The engine options for the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift are the same as for the pre-facelift model. A 1.2-litre NA engine and a 1.0-litre turbo engine are available in the petrol model. The former generates 82 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque, while the latter generates 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version of the Venue is equipped with a 1.5-litre oil-burner capable of producing 98.6 bhp of power and 240 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT gearbox handle the transmission responsibilities on the petrol engine options. A 6-speed manual transmission is available for the diesel engine.
