KTM is upto big things lately, and some of these big things are India-bound as well. The Austrian bikemaker may have its hands full with the development of the new 390 Adventure lineup, but that hasn't stopped it from testing the next generation of the KTM 250 Adventure.

The motorcycle pictured here feature spoke-rims, which are not available on the current KTM 250 Adventure. It seems that the upcoming 250 Adventure may offer tubed tyres with spoke rims either as standard, or optionally, while also offering the current tubeless tyre-alloy rim setup.
The new 250 Adventure is also expected to share its chassis setup with the the 250 Duke, as does the current one. The motorcycle in the pictures can be seen with a non-adjustable front fork, and it is likely that the upcoming motorcycle will be seen with newer units on both ends.

One can also spot a simpler-looking LCD instrument cluster, along with the switchgear that is nearly identical to the Husqvarna 250 Svartpilen. The LCD cluster situation is interesting, given that the current 200 Duke has just been given a new TFT cluster with on-board navigation.
We can expect Team Orange to continue with the current powertrain of the 250 Adventure, that is shared with the 250 Duke. This makes sense considering the versatile nature of this powertrain. However, we can also expect Team Orange to alter the characteristics of the powertrain to suit the nature of the ADV.
Finally, in terms of design, we can expect something similar to the upcoming 390 Adventure that is also set to be revealed at the EICMA 2024, with similar bodywork. The motorcycle in the pictures features a dual-projector setup but misses out on LED DRLs. We can expect this to change in the production-spec models.

Verdict
With the 390 Adventure lineup all set for a global generation change, it won't be too long before the 250 Adventure follows suit as well. We can expect KTM to make an official announcement soon after the updated 390 Adventure gets launched here.
