2025 Kia Carens Facelift Spotted: Reveals New Alloy Design

Kia Carens Facelift

The Kia Carens facelift is expected to debut by Q1 of early 2025 and is undergoing rigorous testing. Spotted in the heavy veil, the side profile looks similar but the presence of new alloy wheels can be spotted quite clearly, differentiating it from the current model. On top of this, you will get a redesigned front facia, with restyled headlamps and a new front bumper with new cuts. On top of this, the tail lamps resemble the typical Kia-styled units that we have seen on the Seltos and Sonet.

Kia continues its tradition of equipping its vehicles generously, and the upcoming Carens Facelift is no exception. Alongside its existing array of features, the new model is expected to introduce several exciting updates. Recent spy shots have confirmed the inclusion of a 360-degree camera module and an ADAS radar unit. In addition to these advanced safety technologies, the Carens Facelift will boast luxurious amenities such as an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging capability, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a BOSE premium sound system, an air purifier, and more.

Kia Carens Facelift

The current Kia Carens boasts a robust safety suite, including 6 airbags, TPMS, a rear parking camera, all-disc brakes, downhill brake control, ABS with EBD, and additional safety features. The upcoming facelift version is anticipated to elevate safety standards further with ADAS level-2 technology, 360-degree cameras, and other expected enhancements, as suggested by recent spy shots.

Engine Details

Kia Carens Facelift

The Kia Carens retains its current lineup of engines, offering a choice of three options: two petrol and one diesel. It starts with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The diesel variant features a 1.5-litre engine producing 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual transmission, an iMT gearbox, or an automatic transmission. For those seeking more performance, there's a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque, with options of a 7-speed DCT or a 6-speed iMT.

Expected to launch by Q1 of 2025, it will be priced somewhere around Rs. 11 lakhs mark. At launch, it will continue its rivalry with the likes of Maruti Suzuki XL6, Hyundai Alcazar, and Toyota Rumion in the Indian market.

Verdict

The Kia Carens facelift when launched, won't be having an easy pass as its arch rival, the Hyundai Alcazar is also coming up with its facelift iteration soon. With the new updates, the MPV segment is set to witness new standards for the other contendors to match up to.
