Kia Motors India has recently updated its SUV range by rejigging the Sonet and Seltos range. The company has introduced new GTX trims for both SUVs. The new GTX trims have been positioned amid the HTX+ and the GTX+ variants of both Sonet and Seltos. The new Seltos GTX is priced at Rs. 18.99 lakh and the Sonet GTX has arrived with a price tag of Rs. 13.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kia Seltos and Sonet GTX variants and are relatively more equipped than the lower variants and feature some major cosmetic changes inside and out. Kia Sonet and Seltos GTX Details
The newly introduced Kia Seltos and Sonet GTX variants are available in a wider range of colours including the new Aurora Black Pearl Shade. Except for the cosmetic changes, the Seltos GTX trims come with 18-inch alloy wheels. The Sonet GTX has 16-inch wheels and lacks an Advanced Driver Assistance System like its other variants.
Kia Sonet GTX
The Kia Sonet GTX has features such as a blind spot monitor in the driver's instrument console, and a 360-degree camera. The Sonet's GTX variant doesn't get ADAS features. The automaker might want to keep ADAS capabilities exclusive to the X-Line and GTX+ which offer Level 1 autonomous features.
Apart from this, the Sonet GTX features dual 10.25-inch screens- one as an infotainment and one as a driver's display. Moreover, the Sonet GTX also gets features such as ventilated front seats, a four-way adjustable driver's seat, air purifier. The Kia Sonet GTX sources its power from a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine which comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch and a 6-speed torque converter unit.
Kia Seltos GTX
The Kia Seltos GTX also gets a 360-degree camera and a blind spot monitor on the instrument cluster in addition to the standard safety features offered by the SUV such as ABS, stability management and six airbags. Unlike the Sonet GTX, the Seltos GTX gets a Level 2 ADAS package. However, the Seltos's GTX variant gets fewer features and misses out on other features such as blindspot collision.
In terms of features, the Seltos GTX variant gets ambient LED lights, dual-zone climate control and ventilated seats. The SUV features the same dual 10.25-inch display setup as the Sonet. Additionally, the Seltos GTX gets features such as ISOFIX mounts, rain-sensing wipers and a sliding armrest. The Seltos GTX is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged or a 1.5-litre diesel unit. The petrol engine comes linked with a 7-speed DCT unit. While the diesel engine gets a six-speed torque converter.
