The Mahindra BE 6 has been a trending topic lately, and while the Indian car maker had announced prices for the lower-spec variants earlier last year, it has now revealed prices for the top-spec variants at its ongoing Tech Day. The range-topping Mahindra BE 6 Pack Three begin from Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra BE 6 Pack Three
The BE 6 is available in three different trims; Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three. While prices for the base Pack One and Pack Three are now known, prices for the mid-spec Pack Two remain undisclosed. Bookings for the top-spec Pack Three will commence from February 14, while deliveries are expected to begin from March onwards.
As mentioned previously, the BE 6 comes with two battery pack options. The first is the 59kWh unit with a single electric motor powering the rear wheels, producing 227bhp and 380Nm of torque. It also gets an MIDC-claimed range of 535km on a single charge.

The other is a 79kWh unit with two electric motors powering all four wheels, producing 282bhp and 380Nm. In terms of range, this setup gets an MIDC-claimed range of 682km on a single charge.

Interiors And Features
We are already familiar with the stunning design of the BE 6, and its interiors are quite radical as well, drawing inspiration from the cockpit of a fighter jet. In terms of features, the top-end Pack Three variant comes equipped with things such as the 12.3-inch floating dual screen setup, dual-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, level 2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, 5G connectivity with built-in WiFi, a panoramic sunroof with integrated lighting patterns, automatic parking assist, and a power-adjustable driver seat with memory function.

Verdict
With these prices, the BE 6 definitely appears like an attempt from Mahindra to move into a premium space. While the car maker knows how to keep its products in the limelight, EVs are a different breed altogether, and only time will tell how well this strategy works for Mahindra.
