If you are looking to buy a proper ladder on-frame SUV, and Mahindra Bolero and Neo are the ones you are eying? Get ready to shell out an extra up to Rs. 31,000 for the same. The company has hiked the price of its popular SUV's for the year 2023, and now the retail price of the vehicles is revised.

The iconic Mahindra Bolero on its base variant, the B4 is now dearer by up to Rs. 25,000. B6(O) trim is now available after a price bump of Rs. 31,000, which is the highest jump in Bolero's revised pricing. Interstingly, the B6 variant's pricing has not seen any update. So, if you were looking at the B6 trim, you are pretty much sorted.

The Bolero Neo gets a standard price increase of Rs. 15,000 across all variants except for the N10 limited edition. It is the only variant that still retails at its older price. With this new update, the new pricing stands at Rs 9.63 lakh and Rs 12.14 lakh.
Powertrain
Bolero Neo is available in 1 engine option, a 1493 cc, 3 Cylinders Inline, 4 Valves/Cylinders, which generates 100 bhp @ 3750 rpm peak power. It generates a torque of 260 Nm @ 1750 rpm.
On the other hand, Classic Mahindra Bolero's engine unit is a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder mHawk diesel engine, that churns out 76 ps power with a torque of 210 Nm.
VERDICT- The update in price was an obvious occurring and waiting to happen. The year 2023 has already seen a lot of revision in terms of pricing, variants discontinuation, Engine overhauls, and much more. But since one variant on each of the vehicles still retails at the same price tag, you could bag a better deal on both of them.
