Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Variant P4
The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ comes in just 2 variants and the one in pictures is the base level P4 trim that comes at Rs. 11.39 lakhs ex-showroom. You can see the halogen headlamps with a blacked-out grille without any chrome inserts (present on the P10 variant), and missing fog lamps. You even miss out on the infotainment system as well.
While you get the steel wheels in place of alloys, that's not the only omission. You miss out on top-spec tech like, rear wiper, defogger, infotainment system, remote key entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering mounted controls, auto AC, reverse parking camera, and more. However, you do get a manual air conditioner with Eco mode, seat belt reminders, and reverse parking sensors. If you want these features, you will have to shell out more for the P10 variant.
The main highlight of the Neo+ model is its massive third row space. It offers a 2+2 side-facing seat layout that can accommodate up to 4 occupants. No one for the third row? Fold them up and you have a massive boot space with a lot of space for your long family trips. This is its main differentiating point from the regular Bolero Neo.

Powertrain: Just One Option
The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ comes with a single engine option: a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit generating 120PS power and 280Nm peak torque. Coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive setup, it ensures a dynamic performance. Moreover, it includes micro-hybrid technology for improving fuel efficiency and reducing costs.
Verdict
The Bolero Neo+ base variants skips out on plenty of the tech that you get with its top-spec variant. However it sits at a special spot in the market where its 9 seater layout and the pricing of Rs. 11.39 lakhs puts it in competition with other compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and more.
