Features
Feature-wise, the Bolero Neo gets an upper hand when compared with the TUV300. This one gets cruise control, follow me home headlights, updated multi-information display, rear parking sensors and eco mode. It continues with the dual-tone beige and black colour cabin theme that gives an airy feel to the cabin.
Mahindra Bolero Neo vs TUV300 - Specifications
Under the hood, the Bolero Neo is powered with a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine as before but it is now BS6 compliant. Also, the torque figures are up by 20 Nm and now stick to 260 Nm and the power figures stick to 99 bhp. Currently, the carmaker has brought in a 5-speed manual gearbox and power is sent to the rear wheels. We believe as the popularity of this butch SUV will rise, Mahindra will bring in a convenient and more affordable automatic that is widely known as AMT in our market.
Gets MLD
Basically, this means mechanical locking differential. However, it is only reserved for the top-spec N10(O) variant. So basically what it does that, if you are out in the slush or any area where you lose the traction and you see the wheels spinning endlessly, then the MLD comes into play as it locks the wheel that spins. Once that happens, the other wheel that hasn't lost the traction starts gaining power and eventually gains the momentum. It is quite a useable feature considering how bulky the Bolero Neo is.
