Mahindra has launched the much-awaited facelift of the XUV 300 in an all-new avatar and with a new name. The Mahindra XUV 3XO is launched at Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra XUV 3XO - Exterior & Interior
The newly launched facelift of the XUV 300 or the new XUV 3XO comes with a new front fascia. The new model gets design inspired by the upcoming Mahindra BE SUV lineup. It gets an all-new C-shaped LED DRLs, and a new headlamp assembly with projector LED headlamps. The air dams and the bumper design have also received some changes which made the front profile sharper and a bit more aggressive as compared to the previous generation. On the sides, it gets new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with a similar side profile as the XUV 300. The rear profile has also received a significant design overhaul, it now comes with a new LED-connected light and a C-shaped tail lamp design.
On the inside, the brand has integrated a lot of features with some segment-first features as well. It now comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10.25 digital instrument cluster, a new HVAC control panel, dual-zone climate control with remote operation support, the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment, a 7-speaker Harmon Kardon music system with a subwoofer, ventilated seats among other features
Mahindra XUV 3XO - Safety Features
On the safety front, it offers 35 standard safety features which include 6 airbags, 4 disc brakes, 3-point seat belts for all seats, seat belt reminders, ISOFIX child seat mounts, auto-dimming IRVM, and passenger airbag on and off option, among other features. The XUV 3XO is the first SUV in the segment to offer level 2 ADAS features such as forward collision mitigation, smart pilot assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control among other features.

Mahindra XUV 3XO - Engine Options
The new XIV 3XO comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which produces 110 bhp of power and 200 Nm of power. This engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT unit. This engine gives a claimed mileage of 18.89 kmpl with the MT gearbox and 17.96 with the AT unit.
The other turbo petrol engine is the 1.2-litre TGDi turbo engine which produces 130 bhp of power and 230 Nm of peak torque. This motor is available with a 6-speed MT and an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter. This engine gives a claimed mileage of 18.2 kmpl with AT unit and 20.1 kmpl with an MT
The XUV 3XO is also available with a 1.5-litre diesel motor, producing 115 bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. The diesel engine is claimed to give an efficiency of 20.6 kmpl with an MT unit and 21.2 kmpl with 6-speed AutoShift+ gearbox.
Verdict
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is launched at a very competitive price tag and it comes with a plethora of features. The segment first features gives it an edge over its primary rivals like the Tata Nexon, KIA Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Also, the engine options offer more power and torque as compared to the rivals.
