Mahindra XUV 3XO Prices Hiked For Select Variants
Mahindra has recently ascended to the position of the third-largest automaker in India, overtaking Tata Motors in unit sales for September 2024. This achievement is largely due to the success of several models in Mahindras lineup, particularly the Mahindra XUV 3XO. This sub-4m SUV has bolstered Mahindras standing in its segment by offering a compelling mix of features at a competitive price. Initially launched in April with a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the XUV 3XO is now seeing its first price hike as of October 2024. While the maximum hike would be of Rs. 30,000, it varies model-wise.
Mahindra has announced a price hike for its SUVs, with increases up to Rs 30,000, varying across different variants. While some models retain their original prices, the MX1 and AX5 petrol variants see the highest increase at Rs 30,000, and the MX2 Pro, MX3, and AX5L rise by Rs 25,000. Diesel variants like the MX2 Pro, MX3, and AX5 have a Rs 10,000 hike, but the MX2, MX3 Pro, AX7, and AX7L trims remain unchanged. Competing in a market with rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindras pricing strategy remains crucial to hold the fort and not roll down the hill.

Verdict
The pricing strategy, mechanics, and the features on offer, a cumulative effect of all these bulls eye hits has revamped Mahindra's standing in this hot segment. While it wasn't even in the picture before XUV 3XO launch, It is now pushing the standards such that Nexon had to offer a panoramic sunroof via a mid cycle update to withstand the heat. Couple it up with a 5 star safety net lineage of the XUV300 and theres very little that can go wrong.
