Mahindra XUV400 Test Drive Details
The concept of Metaverse or virtual reality has been exciting to think about. However, it has now started to become a reality. Mahindra's XUV400verse is a similar state of art technology setup. One can visit the official link (click here) and step up inside a virtual showroom. Inside this virtual showroom, Mahindra XUV400 is displayed in full detail. Additionally, viewers can go through each and every detail of the upcoming EV. One can also select their favorite colour and see the interior details such as infotainment, etc.
Meanwhile, the most exciting part is that one car drives it. Yes, you read it right. The new 3-D configurator experience lets one drive the car inside the city. Additionally, one can also do a test time trail race that Mahindra has designed to create a virtual experience of its performance. However, the real-time driving experience might be different than it. Want to know how it drives and performs inside the city? Watch our detailed review of it below.
XUV400 Battery, Specs, & Performance
The XUV400 is claimed to be one of the most powerful & technically rich EVs in its segment Mahindra. All thanks to its 39.5kWh battery pack that makes a peak power of 150 bhp & 310 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, this power is put down via multiple driving modes. These driving modes can push the XUV400 from a standstill to 100 kmph in 8.3 seconds (claimed). However, it is its long driving range of 456 km per charge (MIDC-claimed) that is attracting most of the bookings of the car. While it looks more or less like the XUV300, it is based on a longer chassis. Ssangyong's Tivoli SUV chassis has been used on it without any alterations. Hence, no worries about undercutting the 4 mt length mark due to the absence of tax rebates.
Verdict
Mahindra has designed the XUV400verse for young buyers. All of the virtual experience is to lure the young audience that loves tech, features, & performance. However, Mahindra has still not announced its pricing. Its official bookings are open but the pricing will come out in Jan'23. Meanwhile, we are suspecting that it will be priced north of Rs 15 lakh for sure. Its main rivals in India are - Tata Nexon EV Max & MG ZS EV.
