The Mahindra XUV400 EV is set to receive an update to its features, with sources indicating a transition to a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen in the higher variants, replacing the current 7.0-inch screen. The enhanced infotainment system will incorporate wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among other features. This upgraded unit is expected to be shared with the upcoming XUV300 facelift. However, additional features such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or a 360-degree camera are not anticipated for the XUV400 EV.
Huge Discounts In Effect!
To boost sales, Mahindra has been implementing attractive discounts and benefits on unsold inventory. Recently, it was reported that the XUV400 EV is being offered with a substantial discount of Rs 4.2 lakh on certain variants. This strategic pricing approach aims to incentivize potential buyers and stimulate increased adoption of the electric SUV.
Battery And Range
The XUV400 EV is offered in two variants EC and EL. The EC trim features a 34.5kWh battery pack providing a claimed range of 375km, along with a 3.2kW charger. On the other hand, the EL variant is equipped with a larger 39.4kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 456km, and comes with a more powerful 7.2kW charging capability. Both versions of the Mahindra XUV400 are driven by a 150hp electric motor powering the front wheels. The pricing for the XUV400 ranges from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh, ex-showroom.
Verdict
The updates are in line with the brands commitment to making its portfolio at par with competition. Presently, the biggest competitor, the Tata Nexon EV has entered into its facelift version and offers a lot of improved aesthetics and feature highlights. With a bigger touchscreen, the XUV400 will aim to offer something more even before entering its facelift version.
