In India, Mahindra unveiled its first electric SUV, XUV400 electric. The biggest difference between the Mahindra XUV400 electric and its ICE counterpart, the XUV300, is the SUV's longer length. Other minor alterations are also present. In India, the electric SUV market is currently led by the Tata Nexon EV. Mahindra XUV400 vs Tata Nexon EV - Design & Dimensions
The new Mahindra XUV400 features the Twin Peaks logo finished in Satin Copper colour. Accents in the Satin Copper colour are applied in various locations all over the SUV. Other features of the EV resemble those of its ICE sibling, the XUV300. The Nexon EV, however, has some blue accents to set it out from the Nexon ICE models despite sharing a similar appearance.

The XUV400 is 306mm longer, 18mm wider, and 10mm higher than the Nexon EV, and its wheelbase is 102mm longer, providing greater room for the passengers' legs. Mahindra is sure that the XUV400 would provide its occupants with the finest in segment comfort and room.

In comparison to the Nexon EV versions, the Mahindra XUV400 has a single battery pack that offers better power, torque, and range. On the other hand, the Nexon EV is available in Prime and Max variants depending on the battery packs. The Prime variant has a smaller battery pack and less range, while the Max variant boasts a larger battery pack and more range.
Additionally, the Mahindra XUV400 has a DC charger that allows for fast charging, and it can go from 0% to 80% in just 50 minutes. While a 50kW DC charger takes the Nexon EV Max 56 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%.

Mahindra XUV400 vs Tata Nexon EV - Features
A 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, drive modes (Fun, Fast, Fearless), an electric sunroof, all-four disc brakes, six airbags, 60+ connected car technology, a monostable shifter, one pedal driving, and OTA updates are among the features offered by the Mahindra XUV400.
In contrast, the Nexon EV comes equipped with a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, an air purifier, all-disc brakes, ventilated seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, an electronic parking brake, a rotary gear selector with a digital display, and ESP.
Mahindra XUV400 vs Tata Nexon EV - Pricing
The Nexon EV costs between Rs 15.92 lakh and Rs 21.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices vary depending on the model and edition chosen, such as Jet Edition, Dark Edition, Nexon EV Prime, and Nexon EV Max.
Mahindra has not disclosed the XUV400's price, and the company will disclose it in January 2023. In order to compete with the Nexon and other electric vehicles available in India, the pricing are expected to be highly competitive.
