Maruti e Vitara Dimensions
Kudos to Maruti Suzuki for not shifting much away from the concept model, which was first shown at Auto Expo 2023, as it looks 99% similar. Also, from the design perspective, the e Vitara has a machismo that is supported by its beefed-up shape. Maruti is calling it High-Tech & Adventure, and I completely agree. Now onto its dimensions.
Length | 4,275 mm |
Width | 1,800 mm |
Height | 1,635 mm |
Wheelbase | 2,700 mm |
Ground Clearance | 180 mm |
The e Vitara is shorter than the Grand Vitara in length but is wider and has a wheelbase that is 100 mm longer. However, it has less ground clearance, as the Grand Vitara offers 210 mm. Now, onto the battery specifications.
Maruti e Vitara Battery Specifications
Built on a new HEARTECT-e platform, the e Vitara will come with two battery specifications, like every other EV, and it will be offered with either a 2WD or 4WD drive setup (ALLGRIP-e). Talking about its heart, Maruti will offer it with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs; clearly, the first one is the standard battery and the other one is for long range. However, the range figures are yet to be announced.
Battery Pack | 49 kWh | 61 kWh (2WD) | 61 kWh (4WD) |
Power | 144 PS | 174 PS | 183 PS |
Torque | 189 Nm | 189 Nm | 300 Nm |
Drivetrain | 2WD | 2WD | 4WD |
Maruti e Vitara Expected Price
Before speculating on the price, first things first: this car platform is co-developed with Toyota, so after March 2025, wait for the e Hyryder as well. Additionally, production will take place at the Gujarat plant, and after the India launch, it will be available in Europe and Japan.
Now, regarding the starting price, it is expected to be somewhere around Rs 18 to 20 lakh, while the 61 kWh version will start around Rs 25 lakh. Other players like Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV need to pull up their socks. Also, the Hyundai Creta EV is coming next year, which is sure to create a massive buzz just like the e Vitara.
