Except for EX variants, all other trims see a uniform hike of Rs 10,000. The exact reason for this hike is unknown.

Mechanically, MG Astor is powered by two engine options - 1.5L petrol and 1.3L turbo petrol. The former is a four-cylinder, naturally aspirated motor that generates 108 bhp of power with a peak torque of 144 Nm. This engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and CVT as an option.
The other 1.3L motor is a three-cylinder, turbocharged motor that belts out 138 bhp of power with a peak torque of 220 Nm. This engine gets mated to a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission as standard only.
