Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R sports the traditional tallboy design and feels very spacious. The Santro also sports the tallboy design and takes inspiration from the Grand i10 design. You will find some unique touches on the Santro like the boomerang-shaped lights and patterns. The Wagon-R also gets honed-out fenders to give it a muscular and bold look.

To keep the comparison fair, we have pitted the LXI (O) variant of the Wagon-R with the Magna variant of the Santro. Hyundai also offers the CNG kit in Sports variant as well but that is way pricier than the Wagon-R CNG. As you can see in the table, the Santro aces in some comfort and convenience features but lacks the passenger-side airbag whereas the Wagon-R offers dual airbags. Hyundai Santro also offers a 2-Din music system with the Santro which is missing on the Wagon-R.

Both the Wagon-R and Santro CNG produces similar power to their petrol-only variants when only used with petrol. If we talk about the power figures of CNG, Hyundai Santro produces considerably higher power and torque when compared to the Wagon-R. Hyundai Santro also comes with an extra cylinder which offers better refinement and smoothness. The Santro also offers 35L of petrol tank which is 3L more than that of the Wagon-R.

The Maruti Wagon-R LXI (O) CNG is Rs 53,000 cheaper than the Hyundai Santro Magna. Although the Wagon-R doesn't offer many features in its CNG variants but comes out as a great value-for-money package. The Santro, however, is a more premium offering and offers some comfort features which you may like. But taking the VFM factor in this comparison, the Wagon-R feels a better buy. But if you want a perfect family car, the Santro can be a better purchase.
